Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry in partnership with The Zariah Elizabeth Foundation (TZE) is currently making collaborative efforts to support SMEs through the use of ICT to promote businesses within and around Abuja through her initiative called ICTHUB.
This initiative according to Executive Director of The Zariah Elizabeth Foundation, Mr. Akindayo Akindolani, will afford the ICT enthusiasts the rare opportunity to interact with professionals and for techies and IT savvy individuals to meet up and discuss ideas that will generate sustainable growth for the economy
In view of supporting SMEs, Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry has powered McAnderson Associates to developed a solution called Website As a Service.
Website as a Service (WaaS) takes every hassle of running a reputable web presence of businesses by developing, hosting and managing the website of companies.
McAnderson Associates focuses in empowering SMEs to do more with their businesses by managing their web presence including the social media platform without even breaking their budget or sacrificing other needs. The setup of Basic plan website is N10,000 while the monthly subscription is N5,000 and there are no hidden charges after subscribing to the product.
“Since, one of the aim of Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry is to develop capacities and to support SMEs in other to develop the nation, we have created the platform for our youth to interact for possible collaboration amidst themselves on viable projects that can turn the country’s economy around for good which will make them develop bespoke ICT solutions (Made in Nigeria Solutions) which was our theme for the last Abuja International trade fair we organized” Professor Adesoji Adesugba, VP ICT, Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Mr Akindolani added that there seems to be a huge disconnect between the knowledge imparted in schools and the skill needs of the society they are been prepared for. In our capacity as an NGO, we have partnered with Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Microsoft, The Future Projects and other stakeholders to tackle this by training over 6000 secondary school students within Abuja on Coding/Digital Literacy skills and our next project is to train selected young graduates on Digital Empowerment Training happening this month.
The Zariah Elizabeth Foundation is a non-governmental establishment with the mandate to build the capacity of the people, train at public workshops as well as promote ICT based products, services and projects at all levels in Nigeria.
