#Action 2015 has launched its campaign to fight poverty, inequality and dangerous climate change yesterday 15 January 2015 at Sheraton Hotel,Abuja. The event witnessed creme-de-la-creme in the entertainment Industry: music, movie, sports, government officials such as Nigeria’s Minister of Finance, Dr Ngozi Okonjo Iweala, Former Super Eagle Coach, Samson Siasia, Nollywood Top Actress, Genevive Nnaji, Dotun Roy, Timi Dakolo, Praiz, Niki Laoye, MI Abaga among others were all present to make plegde as patriotic Nigerians with great anticipation for change and sustainable development in all strata and sectors in 2015.

According to Babs Atayi, one of the organisers, he said, “Action2015 is a movement made up of many individuals and organisations such One.org, WaterAid, CSDevNet, CODE, Save The Children Organisation and more united in the common belief that the decisions taken in 2015 are critical to our future. Together as a global movement we will raise our voices today for the generations of tommorow”

Millenium Development Goals will be replaced by new set of global goals, the sustainable Development Goals, an opportunity to end all forms of poverty and inequality and tackle environmental destruction said Hamzat Lawal.
