Gospel Singer, Nathaniel Bassey to Minister at Trump’s Inaugural Breakfast, X users react differently

Awkward reactions have trailed the news of Nigerian gospel singer, Nathaniel Bassey who is currently billed to perform at Donald Trump’s Inaugural Breakfast at the White House in the United States.

The Hallelujah Challenge Artiste has come under fire on social media over the news of him ministering at US President-elect, Donald Trump’s inauguration. Many social media users have reacted differently towards the invitation.

In an Instagram post, Nathaniel announced that he would be ministering at the prestigious Presidential Inaugural Prayer Breakfast of Trump, scheduled to take place on January 20, 2025, in Washington, D.C.

The inaugural prayer breakfast, a gathering of global Christian leaders, policymakers, and worshippers, will be a moment of reflection, intercession, and unity. This event marks the continuation of a longstanding tradition of invoking divine blessings and guidance for the United States at the start of a new presidential term.

“Let’s raise a sound in America. And let the King of Glory come in. See you. 20th January, 2025

The Presidential Prayer Breakfast is a non-official and non-governmental event. It is a faith-based platform where intercessory prayers and worship are offered to God on behalf of the office of the president and the government of the nation. This event is held once in four years preceding the inauguration ceremony as a breakfast prayer meeting ahead of every new administration. Over the years has been attended by leaders and dignitaries from around the world.

Reacting to the news, a Twitter user stated that his ministration is a disgusting betrayal of everything Christianity. The tweep stated that those Christians celebrating and applauding it are even worse as she slammed them for being shameless and for lacking common sense and morality.

“Nathaniel Bassey ministering at Trump’s inauguration is revolting and a disgusting betrayal of everything Christianity claims to stand for. And you Christians applauding and celebrating it like some divine victory are even worse”. An X user slams.

Recall, months back, Daddy Freeze had slammed Nathaniel Bassey for holding a religious challenge. He carpeted him for starting a religious challenge rather than urging people to get their PVC. Freeze stated that Nigeria had become living proof that Jesus can’t bring peace, as it’s been 60 years of doing such with no result.

In other news, Twitter personality Daniel Regha, had cautioned Christians against calling on the God of Nathaniel Bassey and others. He admonished them to refrain from doing such and should rather call on people who have a Biblical reference attached to them.
