Yesterday, Hon. Alex Mascot Ikwechegh, representing Aba, Abia State appeared before the court in Abuja, following his assault on a Bolt Driver who had videotaped his assault by violently slapping him three times — violating the bolt driver’s fundamental rights for being rude and disrespectful towards him.

The authorities have filed court charges against Representative Alex Ikwechegh for allegedly assaulting the Bolt driver at his residence in Abuja.

Ikwechegh was given a bail set at N500,000 by the Presiding Judge, Abubakar Umar Sai’id.

Following the lawmaker’s refusal of guilty plea, the case has been adjourned until November 8.

Justice must be served!
