Kenyan High Commission to Nigeria has come out to debunk the allegations that Kenyan Government colluded with Nigerian government in extraditing Nnamdi Kanu, the famous Leader of Proscribed Group- Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) who got arrested by the Federal Government of Nigeria through International intelligence gathering, earlier this week.

In the statement, Ambassador Wilfred Machage, High Commission of Kenya to Nigeria expresses his disappointment that such allegations could be concocted to fuel antagonistic feelings amongst certain section of Nigeria people.

“We are disturbed, astonished and dismayed by the unfortunate statement on this alleged arrest in Kenya which was carried in the Nation Newspaper.

“The Government of Kenya is particularly appalled by the spurious, libelous, derogatory mention of our dear President on this matter as has been reported in the NATION newspaper dated 2 July 2021.

“I, as a High Commission of the Republic of Kenya to Federal Republic of Nigeria, wish to categorically emphasize that our two countries -Kenya and Nigeria have and continues to enjoy cordial diplomatic relations with both the Federal Government of Nigeria and its accommodating and amiable citizens”

The High Commission is however, challenging anyone with facts relating to this alleged arrest in Kenya to come forward and present those facts. This includes where, when, how, and who was particularly involved in the alleged arrest.
