Institute of Information Management Africa (IIM- Africa) celebrates 10th years of excellence in professional development across the globe today, 14th November 2020. The Anniversary celebration has been scheduled to hold in Abuja with Special investiture/Induction ceremony, Seminar, Dinner and Award ceremony later today.
Founded a decade ago by Ambassador Oyedokun, A. Oyewole, currently the President/Chairman, who envisioned the institute in order bridge the gap in transforming information to value and the necessity to keep promoting excellence in Data and Information Management with more than 100,000 membership across the globe.
According to him, “10 signifies Responsibility, Law and Completeness and we can proudly say that everyone at IIM Africa has been excellent in all 3, we’ve all been able to work towards the common goal of transforming information to value”
This anniversary celebration will afford us all the bonafide and intended members greater opportunity to fraternize, Network, and together have fun while we celebrate our one decade of success and experience in the information management industry” he said.
Oyedokun while reiterating the mission of the Institute stated that “our mission is to ensure that information management professionals are abreast of current and future challenges associated with managing information assets in an era of social, mobile, cloud and big data”.
“As part of our commitments towards ensuring global best practices, sharing lessons learned and networking with other similar international organisations, IIM Africa ensures high standard and internationally recognised learning, education and certification for our members via our various partnership/affiliation with renowned institutes and organisation in the industry worldwide”, he affirmed.
