Korea nationals celebrate 2019 Korean Cultural Festival with glitz in Abuja

Korean nationals in Nigeria have celebrated this year’s Korean Cultural Festival with glitz and glamour in Abuja, yesterday.

The annual festival which aims at providing viable platforms for the Koreans living in Nigeria and Africa to showcase their cultural values, Korean arts, Korean cuisine, Korean music and artistes among other exports with the ultimate goal of exploring sustainable collaboration thereby strengthening the existing bilateral relations between the two Continents – Asia and Africa.

2019 Korean Cultural Festival featured special performances and music rendition of world famous music artistes such as Michael Jackson, Korean pop stars, Onyeka Onwenu performed by the students Seoul Institute of the Arts. Nigerian Artistes and local dance troupe also thrilled the audience with various highlife medleys.

Invited guests drawn from various walk of life in Nigeria, Germany Embassy, USA Embassy envoys, United nations Envoys, United Kingdom Embassy Envoys were all in attendance savouring the moment of Korean songs, glitz and glamour at the event which held at the Congress Hall, Transcorp Hilton, Abuja.

Korean automobile and electronics Companies such as KIA, Hyundai, LG, Samsung among others were also given spaces to exhibit their latest products.

“This event is a great opportunity and platform for the Korean brands in Africa to connect with their potential customers while they introduce new and latest products to them as you can see” said Jinhye, one of the Organisers, Korean Cultural Centre, Abuja.

“Hopefully next year will also be done in a dynamic way than this year’s” she added.
