Press release: NGOs celebrate Christmas with low income families in Lagos

The Team donating Food items to the families

Dreams from the slum Initiative (DFTS) in partnership with Give back Nigeria this yuletide season touched the lives of low income families living in the slums of Ajegunle by giving them food items and clothes for their celebration.

DFTS, a non governmental organization whose mission is to make the dreams of children living in the slums come true, has for years been making impact on various slummy communities across the country and beyond through sending out of school children back to school and rendering needed assistance to the families in these areas.

Speaking with the founder, Omoyele Isaac Success, he said that the low income families had virtually nothing to celebrate the festive season with, hence the need for the organization’s move to provide them the basic items for the celebration.

According to the founder of Giveback Nigeria, Jennifer Pearse, its an avenue to champion change, inspire people towards giving back during the holiday and always.

The beneficiaries appreciated the kind gesture offered by both organisations with prayers as they now have food items for both Christmas and the new year.
