Civil Society Organizations and other major stakeholders in the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) sector across Nigeria have signed Vote4WASH Advocacy letter. This is ultimately towards achieving effective and adequate sensitisation for the Saturday March 28 General Elections.
According to Saheed, Advocacy and Partnership, WaterAid Nigeria, he posited that people need to understand that the crucial role of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene in the scheme of things cannot be overemphasied particularly as general elections approaches, WASH being developmental issues that most of our political asipirants who are vying for one political office or the other often overlook as trivial, they must understand that it is imperative to include WASH as one top priority in their manifestoes in their various constitutencies and states. This advocacy letter is also a form of reminder for all the party aspirants who have emerged victorious in their primaries which as viable candidates for 2015 general election in Nigeria, he added.
