Finally, Harry and Meghan are packing their bags and heading back to the U.K. six years after walking away from royal life.
The Sussexes plan to leave California later this month for a private residence outside London, according to multiple reports.
Archie, 7, and Lilibet, 5, are set to start at a British school in September.
King Charles has reportedly been informed and welcomes the chance to spend more private time with the family, following a July reunion that marked his first time seeing his grandchildren in person in more than four years.
But this is not a royal comeback. Harry and Meghan reportedly have no plans to return as working royals.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle moved from Canada to the United States in March 2020, initially settling in the Los Angeles area.
They moved to Montecito, California, in July 2020, where they have primarily lived ever since.
So, as of August 2026, they have lived in the United States for about 6 years and 5 months.
