As the race to decide who becomes the 47th President of the United States (POTUS) gets toughened, the incumbent President of the United States of America, Joe Biden has officially declared his intention to withdraw from the race due to several reasons.
One of which he claims he would need to stay focused by channeling all his energies to complete his tenure, undistracted.
This was stated in an Open letter issued yesterday dated 21st July 2024.
However, Biden has officially endorsed Kamala Harris, his Vice President to take over from where he stopped.
In his words, “My fellow Democrats, I have decided not to accept the nomination and to focus all my energies on my duties as President for the remainder of my term. My very first decision as the party nominee in 2020 was to pick Kamala Harris as my Vice President. And it’s been the best decision I’ve made.
“Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year. Democrats — it’s time to come together and beat Trump. Let’s do this.” – Biden
In the meantime, we look forward to a free, fair and credible elections as Kamala Harris and Donald Trump hit the ground running to the poll.
