The Executive Director of the Ugwumba Leadership Center and a seasoned business Coach and Entrepreneur, Hon. Remy Chukwunyere has advised the new governor of Imo State, His Excellency, Sen. Hope Uzodinma to create massive jobs for Imo youths if he wants to succeed.
Speaking to newsmen in Abuja, he said “What is needed in Imo State and across the country now is massive job creation for the teeming unemployed youths!. Employing more people into the civil service is not a sustainable solution to the unemployment crisis as it adds more burden on the government”.
He further revealed that “Several sectors of the economy, including agriculture, sports, renewal energy, waste management, ICT, entertainment, etc have enormous potentials to create millions of jobs for Nigerian youths. The amazing fact is that the government will get the best from the youths if it challenges their reasoning and creative abilities, like the model we adopted for the #UgwumbaEnterpriseChallenge.
According to him “I hereby call for the political will to harness these opportunities, so that our youths can have access to the training and resources they need to gainfully employ themselves and begin to add to the GDP of the country. This is my humble appeal”.
