The Peoples Republic of China on Thursday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Nigeria to assist Nigeria’s Armed Forces strengthen its counter insurgency measures.
The Hon Minister of Defence Mansur Muhammad Dan-Ali and the Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria Dr Ziyou Pingjian signed the MOU on behalf of their countries.
Col Tukur Gusau the Public Relations Officer to the Defence Minister disclosed this in a statement
Gusau informed that the signing of the MOU was a follow up to the visit of President Muhammadu Buhari to China in september 2018 were discussions on infrastructure financing for strategic projects and gratis for the Armed Forces was held with the Chinese President Mr Xi Jinping.
