The Cinema Culture in Nigeria

In recent times, watching movies in cinemas seems to be the new ‘thing in town’. This is because aside its entertainment values, movie-going is quickly becoming a lifestyle in which people go to the cinemas with their loved ones to see movies and relax.

Also worthy of note is the increased view of Nollywood films at cinemas. A few years ago, movies shown at the cinemas were mainly Hollywood movies and blockbusters. But now as we can see from the report, Nollywood films are also making their stand and amassing views and raking in huge money.

For example, Mo Abudu’s ‘Chief Daddy’, Kemi Adetiba’s ‘King of Boys’ and Geneveive Nnaji’s ‘Lion Heart’ were some of the top charting films in the report week-on-week. The reasons for this may not be so far-fetched as movie producers have found cinema premiering as a means of escaping the snares of movie pirates. Also the Nigerian movie industry has been churning out quality movies worthy of people’s time and money which makes them cinema-worthy.

For example Genevieve Nnaji’s Lion Heart also became the first Nigerian film to be available for streaming on Netflix

For movie enthusiasts, this vibrant cinema culture means movie lovers can enjoy quality films and life does not end with ‘home videos’.

  4. Good post right here. One thing I would really like to say is always that most professional domains consider the Bachelor’s Degree as the entry level requirement for an online college degree. While Associate Certification are a great way to start out, completing the Bachelors opens many opportunities to various employment opportunities, there are numerous internet Bachelor Course Programs available through institutions like The University of Phoenix, Intercontinental University Online and Kaplan. Another concern is that many brick and mortar institutions present Online editions of their qualifications but often for a drastically higher payment than the companies that specialize in online college diploma programs.

  5. Thanks for your write-up. I also believe laptop computers have become more and more popular today, and now are often the only form of computer employed in a household. Simply because at the same time potentially they are becoming more and more inexpensive, their working power is growing to the point where they’re as potent as pc’s out of just a few years back.

  6. You really make it seem really easy with your presentation but I to find this topic to be really something which I think I’d by no means understand. It kind of feels too complex and very large for me. I’m looking forward in your subsequent submit, I will try to get the hang of it!
