Nigeria (Solar) EcoRacing National Team aka #TheSolarEagles are currently doing Nigeria proud and pushing boundaries through their rare commitments in the field of science and technology to put Nigeria on the map and amongst the countries of the world that are set to harness the limitless possibilities in its Solar Energy and power.
In a press statement signed and released by the Chief Scientist/Team Captain for Nigeria Solar Eagles National Team, Ebisike Ebube George on Saturday, revealed that the Team has been scheduled to represent Nigeria as debutants and competitors at the global design and World Cup of Solar & Renewable Motorsport event called “The World Solar Challenge” by October 2019.
“Its a 30+ year event and holds biennially in Adelaide, Australia” said Ebube.

Dear Global Citizen,
We can’t continue to complain within the political sphere whilst refusing to decisively act with the energy of forward thinking. We must find a cause to rally around as a nation and/or as global actors. This projects offer a piece of ownership to every contributor as we join forces to shape technological possibilities and outcomes in the short and long term.
I will take advantage of this rare opportunity and believe me it’s one that will speak future volumes for more than two centuries to come, leaving our Names, Flag and National Pride Cemented in Gold and on the World Stage. Therefore the SolarEagles call on your most expedient action in whatever capacity to support our gofundme project as we quest for the World Solar Challenge in October 2019.
Things To Note:
This project is about “Youth” – Team Age range is 15years-55years.
“Ingenuity” – Original design + Engine/Power System designed using a Patent held by a Nigeria. No one is likely to have produced such an engine configuration before. This is a very bold attemp in auto R&D. Some have called us the answer to America’s Tesla and Russian Kalashnikov-CV1, we have asked they be patient.
“Race” – We are all black and Nigerian. “Institution” (The Nigeria Solar car Federation (NScF) will be established by an Act of the National Assembly from 2019. The process has started. NScF will interphase statutorily with the International Solar Car Federation (IScF) to achieve for Nigeria skills, tech transfer, broaden our R&D potential, be part of the global IScF congress and future funding channels etc.
“Collaboration” – GE, Wolfram, Eaton, LIT, Mars One, Siemens, SmartAlliance, Aggrey Button, Result Science/Cost Science, SATFORMS are all foreign and local content partners on standby to supply AI/Robotic Robotics expertise, Intelligent Software, Actuators/Auduinos, mechatronics technicality and very key Team building training and psychology management where needed.
“Disruption” – Yes we could disrupt the electric car ecosystem and spinoff serious private electric car manufacturing locally.
“Reach” – We intend for the car to be on show in the Six Geopolitical zones before we depart for the World Cup.
“Taking Ownership” – This project is Nigerian content all the way. We can’t keep complaining, we must act and the time is now.
“Risking It All” – The “SolarEagles” have pursued this R&D project for six years/now, there’s no turning back, the World Cup is in October 2019. The only way now is about achieving forward success. No risk no reward!
“Time” – We can be done in 4-6months time.
“ROI” – You cannot expect a return of national development without a corresponding investment. The SolarEagles is a National Property! “Action begets corresponding reaction”.
This project is about the future, please feel free to support us!

Today, I went to the beach front with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.†She put the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is completely off topic but I had to tell someone!
