Read his official statement and manifesto below:

Greetings DJANIANS,
I am writing to state my intent of running for the post of the National President of the Deejays Association of Nigeria (DJAN). I am immensely grateful and humbled to have the opportunity to run for this position and share my qualifications for the office.

My full names are Adeyemi Adekunle Oluwatade – DJ Kool. In 1982, I joined Music Square, Lagos as an apprentice, trained and mastered professionally in the art of deejaying. I began my professional career as a campus deejay at the Ogun State University. After my first degree, I played at various clubs around till the year 2000 when I stopped playing in the Nite clubs but concentrated more on private parties & events.

Furthermore, I became more interested in the growth of the deejaying business and the reputation it carries. I resulted into training and mentoring DJs to meet the current demands of the craft while keeping up with my multifaceted lifestyle. I currently work as an Assistant Director, Commerce Department, F.C.T Water Board, Abuja.

Evidently, the deejaying business has continued to witness an unfathomable degree of setbacks ranging from empiricism (quackery), incomprehensible status of the craft as well as business, low ratings for DJ art and ultimately, cost of the kit to do the job. I decided to join Deejays Association in order to enlighten members and further encourage a united DJ association.

In addition to my involvement with DJAN and other DJing associations, I have served in the following capacities: Pioneer member/Chairman – Deejays Association, F.C.T, Abuja; National President( protem ); National Association of Nigeria Deejays (NANDJs) ; National President (protem) Deejays Association of Nigeria (DJAN)

It would be an honor to be elected as National President and I sincerely hope you take part in the election process and consider me for your vote. Below are my visions for the association:
1. An association moving forward in unity, peace and progress.

2. An association that is efficient and effective to due diligence

3. A 24/7 association – I believe in an association that will not simply come together for an election, but one that translates into keeping our membership together and effectively working for what we believe in.

4. A move to the right. I intend to work rigorously with all to enhance and rebrand the image of our craft and association. It is time to be proud of what we stand for and what we do; it is time to boldly and proclaim our values.

I have enjoyed being involved on a variety of levels and hope that I can continue my service to DJAN as the National President by helping advance the work of the association to grow membership, provide additional benefits to members and expand opportunities for affiliations with corporations, state and federal government.

Thanks
Yours sincerely,
Tade Adeyemi –Dj kool Experienced, Fair and dedicated.
