LEAP Africa is calling for applications in its Social Innovators Programme (SIP) for 2016/2017 Fellowship year.

As you are aware, LEAP Africa is a non-profit organization, committed to developing dynamic, innovative and principled African leaders. Since 2002, LEAP through its youth and business leadership programmes has equipped over 40, 000 youth across the six- geopolitical regions of Nigeria with skills and tools required to serve as principled change agents and value creators.

As part of its core values, LEAP Africa has continually dedicated its efforts to work with and provide support as well as leadership for visionary youth, business owners and social entrepreneurs. As a result, LEAP introduced the Social Innovators Programme (SIP), which offers a year-long fellowship to existing youth change makers working in partnership with the YouthActionNet a signature programme of the International Youth Foundation, USA. The SIP offers training and skills support for these young social entrepreneurs and culminates with an Awards ceremony to showcase the most outstanding social enterprises among the class.

The Social Innovators Programme (SIP) supports youth between 18 and 35 years, whose ideas and initiatives offer effective solutions to challenges in local communities across Nigeria.

The fellowship connects these outstanding change agents to training, funding, and professional network support required to strengthen their existing initiatives and enhance their impact and sustainability.

Selected Fellows get a chance to join IYF’s globalYouthActionNet® community of over 1,100 young social innovators being supported by 21 national and regional institutes like the Social Innovators Programme (SIP) in 21 countries, across 5 continents.

The Social Innovators Programme is managed by LEAP Africa, with partnership support from the International Youth FoundationYouthActionNet® programme.

The programme is being powered by Union Bank Nigeria.
