Gabriel Suswam’s Alleged Fraud Trial of N3.1 Billion Naira continues

N3.1b alleged fraud: Suswam's trial continues today

The trial of the immediate past Governor of Benue State, Gabriel Suswam, over alleged fraud running into the sum of N3.1 billions still continues before Justice Ahmed Mohammed of the Federal High Court in Abuja.
 
The Federal Government through the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is trying Suswam and his former Finance Commissioner, Omadachi Oklobia on a nine-count charge of money laundering and mismanagement of funds.
 
At the resumed hearing of the suit yesterday, the Prosecution Counsel, Rotimi Jacobs (SAN) tendered some documents as exhibits before the court through the prosecution witness, Mrs. Brigid Shiedu.
 
The document tendered as exhibit, through the witness, who is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Benue Investment and Property Company Limited (BIPCL), include a letter written by the EFCC to the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) requesting for the certificate of incorporation of Benue State Investment Company Limited.
