[dropcap]A[/dropcap]s Nigeria adjusts on its strides and edging towards greatness, the Gospel of the Lord Jesus remains ever green and empowering from the lips of anointed musician and psalmist, Phil. Roberts, Nigeria’s Rock Ambassador.

Having grown from the Assemblies of God Church, to leading great choirs in KICC and Christ Embassy, Phil Roberts who is professionally an Engineer have shown that being a Gospel singer is more than just music and rehearsals.

With such a passion to see people lead productive lives and be whole, Phil Roberts through his Phil Roberts foundation with funds from well meaning Nigerians is set to hunt for talents of Nigerians in prison, as well as take celebrities to commit to visit Internally Displaced persons, renovate an orphanage home to a world class standard all in a bid to show the light of Jesus to people regardless of race, tribe or political affiliation.

The prison will have a studio built and music artistes will be managed right from their prison cells, and other beneficiaries in the IDP and Orphanage homes will be a great testimony to the power of brotherhood and help by Nigerians spearheaded by Phil Roberts.

Speaking to Jenny Chisom Blog, Phil Roberts shared that the project will culminate in a Night of Worship live recording concert that will birth his sophomore album, and in his words This project is designed to give back to the society and the concert itself is designed for us to worship God in an atmosphere of miracles and deliverance through worship”. Roberts who is the first President of Abuja Gospel Artiste Forum designed to help upcoming acts, opened up that Gospel music was not his choice but his calling and he is praying to see God draw at least 500 souls to himself through the concert.

Going by the antecedents of music and Gospel musicians in general, Phil Roberts is differentiating his act by reaching out to the ‘real’ souls that Jesus sent believers to. It is a wake-up call that all sectors of the economy in Nigeria can join hands together to support one another to salvage the future of Nigeria.

The project is open to donations from well- meaning Nigerians who are passionate about putting smiles on the faces of less privileged people.
