Nigeria needs fiscal discipline – Christine Lagarde, IMF Boss

Contray to general speculation trailing the sudden visit of International Monetary Fund (IMF) Boss, Christine Lagarde, that there could be sinister intention behind her august visit which could also spell doom for Nigeria at a time when the country is grappling with myriad of teething trouble bequeated from the last administration. The IMF boss, has made it clear that her intent in Nigeria is not to impose loan or cause any uproar of some sort.

According to her, “We acknowledge the fact that Nigeria being the giant of Africa and one of the emerging economies in the World would rather need some fiscal discipline which is an important ingredient toward achieving stable and vibrant economy. She stated while discussing with the President Buhari and his Vice, Oshinbajo in Abuja.
Largade who also expressed her support for the current anti-corrpution crusade being undertaken by the Buhari Administration, she said it is the right step in the right direction. She added that the only way Nigeria can out of the woods is her determination to fight corruption to finish.
