It was gathered that at about about 10mins past 1am this morning, some blocks of Flats Behind Aprofim, Life Camp Area in Abuja Municipal suddenly caught fire.
According to an eye witness, whose house was adjacent to the fire scene, said the cause of the fire outbreak was unknown initially. However, we later discovered that one of the Electric Meter in one of the Flats got exploded.
“As at the time the inferno started we had rushed to Julius Berger for immediate intervention, begging them to help with fire truck to put out the fire but they refused us, saying they had to wait for approval before they could come with us. As God would have it, Federal Fire Service came to our rescue before the fire could spread to the other side of the Estate, said another eye witness.
It was reported that Julius Berger Truck later came, but they were chase away by the irate youths in Life Camp. Although, nobody has been reported injured or dead in the inferno.
