Nigeria Alternative Energy Expo (NAEE) 2014 kicked-off today 22nd October at Shehu Musa Yar’adua Conference Centre in Abuja. As expected, this year NAEE attracted huge turn-out of renewable energy experts and Exhibitors across the globe such as PAX South Africa, Trina Solar, Suka Energy among others for promotional and investment oppourtnities in Nigeria and by extension Africa.
NAEE 2014 is aimed at extending the range of Nigeria’s Power and Energy sector in terms of energy efficiency and creating platforms for investment and partnerships amongst the major stakeholders in the Energy sector.
Recognising NAEE as Nigeria’s leading Renewable Energy event, Chairman, Local Organizing Committee for NAEE, Mr Emmanuel Onyejeose said NAEE’s roles are essentially targeted to mobilising global support teams to identify themselves as reputable and reliable solution providers at all times, maximization which could be made in their home marketing environment.
He stressed further that newer and modernising friendly investment strategies and policies are emerging aimed at institutionalising rapid power generation which will catalyze economic growth potential beyond expectations beyond 2025.
Segun Adaju, Chief of Party, Winrock International who is also one of the major resource person for this year NAEE spoke about the USAID funded project on Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Policy (REEEP), he said investing in renewable energy venture is one of the effective ways to achieve energy efficiency in the country. We have to make it work for other to believe that renewable energy is bankable and lucrative even more reliable than other ventures, he affirmed.
Suka Energy, foremost renewable energy company in Nigeria, is one of the exhibitor at NAEE 2014. We supply and install renewable energy products, Power Optimisation equipment, low energy but high efficent LED lights, as well as consultancy services in electricity generation and energy conservation said Mrs Omotayo Adeyinka, Lagos Director, Suka Energy.

Lumentech, another renewable energy company from South Africa had its product displayed at the exhibition. We know Nigeria as the largest market with remarkable investment opportunities in Africa, that’s why NAEE is so important to us and for Lumentech to be part of this expo said, Pieter Joubert, Production Manager Lumentech South Africa.
NAEE has been scheduled to last for 3 days, from 22-24 October 2014.
