“Reformers Arise”, a book authored by Alero Ayida-Otobo is one throught-provoking book that I have been reading lately. Despite my busy schedule, I have refused to stop reading this powerfully authored and well-researched literature.
If you are tired of whining and complaining, tweeting to remind the policymakers of their unending promises before they assumed their offices, agitating and advocating for development policies that may never be implemented eventually like me this book is for you.
If you are hungrily desiring to see things being done with a new and sustainable approach at all strata in Nigeria like me, this book is also for you.
If you are the “Certain Kind of People” she refers to, as the 21st Century Reformers in this book, those she says are “Radical Love Carrier” those who possess Reformers Sacrificial Mindset. They are not given to selfish desires. They are not material and avarice driven in their pursuits and assignments here on earth then you need a copy of this book.
“Reformers Arise” is indeed a “Call To Action” for this younger generation to better understand their onuses in the scheme of things and occupy their rightful places towards changing the narratives. This book is for those who are desperately seeking for a change of status-quo and are willing to impart this generation
The book is a clarion call for every African and Nigerian alike to bear in mind that it behoves on us to leave our footprints in the sand of time regardless of how difficult the terrain may look, and that our tenacity and enduring spirits are meant to save humanity
Mrs Alero as I fondly call her, is amongst the few in her older generation that have demonstrated unequalled empathy toward the younger generation of Africans, trusting their creative abilities to turnaround the current pervading poverty level and rooted anomalies within the African continent and bring about the wind of change in all facet of humanity.
Her level of compassion for young people had made her considered me worthy of having this book, having found out that I have being a Development Blogger and Social Activist at the recent Education Conference organized by Arete Copious in Abuja.
In her words, she said “I feel you would need this book that I have just authored”.
Thank you mam, for the privilege.
